DENVER (KDVR) -- Aurora police are seeking three people they believe were involved with an incident reported early Monday morning outside a restaurant on East Colfax.According to police, three people were injured during the incident which was reported at about 12:15 a.m. on Monday in the 9500 block of East Colfax Avenue. One of the three suspects was identified by police as Jose Antonio Hernandez-Morataya, and police provided a previous booking photo of him.During the incident, two people were shot and a third was physically assaulted. All three were transported to a local hospital. Descriptions of the other two suspects were provided. LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The gunman in the shooting at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, that left three people dead and one seriously injured, was a former professor who had applied for jobs several times at Nevada universities, but was turned down every time, the Clark County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.The gunman, identified as Anthony Polito, was killed in a shootout with two detectives, police said Wednesday. The shooter did not appear to be targeting students, law enforcement officials said. All four people killed were faculty members. The 67-year-old man lived in a Henderson, Nevada, apartment, which police searched following the shooting. Sheriff Kevin McMahill said Polito had been struggling financially, and law enforcement found an eviction notice taped to his door when they arrived. DENVER (KDVR) -- The Denver Zoo Lights are expected to attract some 300,000 visitors this year, over ten times as many as when the the celebration first began 32 years ago.It all started in 1991 with a small group of volunteers including Teri Hanzon and Mike Lestition. According to a release from the Denver Zoo, Hanzon and Lestition brought the idea of a holiday light display to the marketing director. Christmas lights tradition got its start in Denver, legend has it They called it Wild Lights, and once approved they organized and operated the entire event for the first few years. A Broward County resident is in legal jeopardy after being charged with criminal mischief with prejudice for allegedly slashing an Israeli sign outside Bagel Time Cafe. On Thursday, 24-year-old Nour Abaido from Coral Springs, faced questioning in Miami-Dade County.Abaido, who had previously posted bond, received a stern warning during the proceedings. “You already posted a bond, just stay away from the Bagel Time Cafe,” said Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Mindy S. A Miami-Dade County caretaker was arrested on charges of grand theft and organized scheme to defraud, officials said.Zoraida Mollinea allegedly exploited the 89-year-old woman she was caring for, gaining access to her accounts and using the cash for personal gain. “She obtained a power of attorney, and then she was able to have access to her bank accounts.
