Trump’s Stormy Daniels mess began that wild weekend in Lake Tahoe With news that Manhattan prosecutors may be ready to indict Donald Trump for his role in a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels, it’s easy to wonder whether the former president would even be in this mess if he had stayed away from a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe in July 2006.By a number of accounts, including from Daniels, Trump “went wild” over four days at the annual American Century Celebrity Golf Championship, according to a detailed account of that weekend by GQ. Though newly married to Melania Trump, who had given birth to their son Barron four months earlier, the 60-year-old Trump reportedly didn’t hesitate to have a sexual encounter with Daniels, as well as an alleged dalliance with Playboy model Karen McDougal, who had recently become the real estate mogul’s mistress.LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – JANUARY 26: Adult film actress/director Stormy Daniels attends the 2019 Adult Video News Awards at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hot...

49ers QB Brock Purdy has successful elbow surgery Friday, per report Forty days later, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy underwent surgery Friday on the elbow ligament that was torn in their NFC Championship Game loss at Philadelphia.Early indications are that Purdy’s procedure went along the best-case-scenario path. His UCL was repaired with an internal brace by Dr. Keith Meister in the Dallas area, and that surgery should allow Purdy to resume throwing in three months, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo first reported.Such a recovery path could put Purdy on a six-month timeline for full clearance to practice and play, which coincides with the start of the 49ers’ regular season in early September. He won’t be participating in the offseason program that begins next month, however, and Trey Lance figures to serve as the 49ers’ first-string quarterback, as was the case a year ago.Purdy, 23, hoped to follow the elbow-surgery lead of former 49er Nick Mullens, who became the first NFL quarterback known to have a torn UCL repaired with a...
